Environmental Internships in South Africa<\/h1>\n

As part of our environmental internships in South Africa you can learn about environmental management as well as approaches to environmental sustainability approaches in a country of the Global South. At the same time you<\/strong>\u00a0contribute to the protection of South Africa’s unique biodiversity<\/a> and assist in poverty alleviation through sustainable urban farming initiatives.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In nature conservation and biodiversity projects you can assist the rehabilitation of endangered species, the planting of indegenous plants and trees as well as the greening of urban areas. You can also assist rangers in urban nature conservation areas or in a marine conservation program. Depending on your background you can also get involved in research, environmental education and project management tasks.<\/p>\n

In sustainability and food security projects you can contribute to sustainable poverty alleviation initiatives in Cape Town and surrounding rural areas. Climate change and the various water crisis in recent years have caused a sharp increase in food prices and with that also an increase of related problems such as malnutrition.
