Our Social Responsibility<\/h1>\n

live&learn is a socially motivated company. Our work aims to support the difficult transformation process from apartheid to democracy and to contribute to social and ecological justice in South Africa. Child protection and climate protection play a special role in our social responsibility.<\/p>\n

live&learn Foundation<\/h2>\n

We not only support our partners in finding suitable volunteers to assist with their project work, but also in finding willing sponsors for their programmes. What’s more, we are happy to inform you about the various possibilities to support one of our partner projects with a donation in kind or money. No donation is too small, and even more rarely too large. We advise individuals as well as associations and companies who would like to get involved in South Africa as part of their corporate social responsibility.<\/p>\n

Child Protection<\/h2>\n

Social and educational work with children is a focus in many of our partner projects. The aim is to strengthen children’s rights, improve their educational opportunities and protect them from potential harm. To ensure this, our partners have child protection policies that reduce the risks of abuse and maltreatment in their project work. These include guidelines for the design of programmes as well as a code of conduct for project staff, including international volunteers.<\/p>\n

To work in projects where you will be working with children, you will need a police clearance certificate.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Climate protection<\/h2>\n

By travelling to South Africa, you leave behind a considerable ecological footprint due to the CO2 emissions of the plane. To compensate for this, you have the opportunity to support a climate protection organisation in Cape Town through live&learn. With your donation you will contribute to tree planting projects in Cape Town as well as to reforestation projects in Southern and Eastern Africa.<\/p>\n

In addition, we advise you on how to organise your travel to and mobility in South Africa in the most ecologically sustainable way possible.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
