Teaching Internships in South Africa<\/h1>\n

You are studying education and you are looking for a teaching internship abroad?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

A teaching internship in a South African school allows you to gain extensive experience in teaching multicultural and multilingual classes. You also get a deep insight into the South African education system<\/a> which is characterised by a division between private and public schools. At the same time you are able to support teachers in under-resourced schools and to make a meaningful contribution to the quality of education in a country of the Global South.<\/p>\n

Support lessons, facilitate small group learning sessions, assist with literacy training and home work or assist individual learners with special learning needs. You also can assist with extra mural activities such as sports, arts and music at Primary and\u00a0 High Schools or extracurricular educational projects in and around Cape Town.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\tEducation and Social Work\t\t\t<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\tAs part of your teaching internship in South Africa you assist teachers in the primary and high school of this holistic project that operates besides the school a children's home for vulnerable children and a nursery school. In the mornings you either assist class teachers from Grade R to Grade 10 or you assist support classes for learners with special learning needs. In the afternoons you help running the after schools programme, where you facilitate sports activities, music, arts classes or homework support classes.\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t

In this snewly opened public special needs school near Cape Town you can assist as a class facilitator in the class for autistic children, or you can assist the sports, cooking, arts or woodwork teacher.\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t
